Klang Valley Stolen Car Statistics from PIAM

According to statistics compiled by PIAM (the General Insurance Association of Malaysia), vehicle thefts in the Klang Valley are still going up. The association revealed that in the first half of this year, 65% of thefts occurred in Kuala Lumpur/Selangor, up 18% from 1999.

Recovered Stolen Luxury Cars Worth 30 Mil MYR

SHAH ALAM: Police have busted three car theft syndicates and recovered almost RM30mil worth of stolen luxury cars so far this year. A total of 23 suspects were detained in the separate operations. CID Director Comm Datuk Seri Bakri Zinin said these syndicates would usually acquire the vehicles from mediators and the cars were stored in containers before being exported overseas via Port Klang.
